Overview

Klabin LogoKlabin Eco Development Corp aims to invest in Green technologies and projects that align with the Klabin brand’s sustainability initiatives and desire to do their part in protecting the environment.  Klabin Fragrances, a family-owned manufacturing operation located in Cedar Grove, NJ manufactures fragrances for the perfume and cosmetics industries.  The Klabin family is synonymous with sustainability and its building is eco-friendly incorporating several energy efficient features.  It uses high-efficiency tinted and low-E insulated glass windows, energy efficient rooftop heating and cooling packages and reflective TPO roofing membrane system to reduce the heat load to the building.  The building also features LED lighting and motion sensors as well as high efficiency natural gas tube heaters in the warehouse.  Consistent with the highly efficient building systems, Klabin partnered with ECS Energy to install solar and further demonstrate the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Challenge

Klabin Eco Development Corp aims to invest in Green technologies and projects that align with the Klabin brand’s sustainability initiatives and desire to do their part in protecting the environment.

Solution

ECS energy completed a 35.316 kW SunPower Helix roof mount installation at Klabin Fragrances in Cedar Grove, NJ. The SunPower system was an integrated solution consisting of the high efficiency modules, ballasted racking system with wind deflectors, pre-connectorized inverters and a power station with cable assemblies and a data monitoring system. The roof mounted array generates electricity that offsets 100% of the annual electrical usage of the electric meter it serves.
